…won’t want to leave the table. Dorie calls it Apple Coconut Family Cake. It is full of sweet apples and cinnamon and coconut. It is delicious. It will be in the house again.

There are two whole Golden Delicious Apples chopped up in this cake along with a cup of coconut. Oh, and a tablespoon of RUM!! And it was so good. The recipe, which you can find on Amber’s site – Cobbler du Monde (it was her pick this week) – is super simple to put together. Uses basic ingredients already in your pantry. The only change I made (Yeah, Yeah!!) was to almost triple the cinnamon. Love lots of cinnamon with apples.
You have to make this cake. It is just too good and too simple to pass up. So don’t. I know lots of the other TWD bakers didn’t.

I think I’ll triple the cinnamon next time! I love cinnamon and I could barely taste it. Your cake looks lovely!

I know, I know, it looks beautiful and I am sure it is delicious and I am sure I will make it sometime, this is just not the time. For some reason, we are dessert-ed out and could not summon enough excitement to make dessert this week. The crumb buns have done me in. Your cake looks beautiful, as does the plate it is resting upon.

Well, I love cinnamon and I love your tip about adding extra cinnamon. I’m going to have to bake one of these for me, so more cinnamon it will be.
