Quick, Quick, let me get this one done and posted before Ike comes for a visit……’cause Gustav has already disrupted our cooking lives.

Malted milk, chocolate, and chocolate. How can anyone go wrong with that????? This weeks TWD was chosen by Rachel of Confessions of a Tangerine Tart (Don’t you just love that title.) And it was another wonderful cookie recipe. It must have been because it did help us make it through Gustav – we didn’t have to starve – just ate cookies. At least the guy type people in the family saw it that way….. Chocolate Whopper Malted DropsThese were really good. But, hey, chocolate…..

Loads of Chocolate.

Loads of Chocolate.

These cookies obviously had chocolate in them. See the picture!!!! The chocolate was in the form of malted milk powder (I used Carnation’s), Malted Milk Balls, and bittersweet chocolate. The only change I made in the recipe was to use semi-sweet chips instead of the bittersweet. Only because I didn’t have any and the stores were not accessible (See Gustav, Hurricane.) I would have loved to add white chocolate, but….. Anyway, they were delicious. The melted malted milk balls just added a little crunchy goodness to the whole cookie. These definately are keepers!!!!!
Ike – eat your heart out!!!
