Peace is a journey of a thousand miles and it must be taken one step at a time.”
And one cookie at at time. Well, actually LBJ didn’t include that in his statement, but…. He should have. But only if it was Dorie’s World Peace Cookies. That was this week’s choice by Jessica of Cookbook Habit. I have seen several bloggers mention these cookies over the past few months. Now I know why. These are wonderful. Crispy on the outside, velvety on the inside. Of all the cookies we have done so far, these are by far the best.
I was a little worried at first. The dough was little dry when I ‘poured’ it out of the mixture, but they didn’t crack when I sliced them 3 hours later. Only thing – I really couldn’t taste the ‘salty’. I used fine sea salt and followed the recipe to a ‘T’, but they weren’t salty. Anybody else……???
Easy to put together, these are a keeper. Thanks, Jessica. Great choice.
Next week we are in — the islands!
