Chocolate Ice Cream is one of our favorite flavors. I make it often, sometimes plain, sometimes with add-ins. But while I make ice cream, I seldom think of making sorbet. Not any more. Thanks to Dorie and Steph of A Whisk and A Spoon.

Creamy Dark Chocolate Sorbet
The flavor of this sorbet is very intense. The chocolate is deep, dark, and creamy. I really was not expecting the creamyness for just milk and water with some sugar and chocolate melted in it. Surprise!! This one will be hard to keep in the freezer very long!
The recipe will be on Steph’s blog and you can find it on page 431 of Dorie’s Baking From My Home to Yours.

Yours looks so rich and creamy. I’m not sure mine mixed up well enough but it was really melting fast. We enjoyed the flavor however.

I seldom think to make sorbet either, and when I do it’s usually fruity, not chocolate. Glad to have made this one though, it was really good (especially the mint variation). Mine got a bit grainy, but yours looks perfect!

I love ice cream, but sometimes it can be a little much for me. I’ve never thought about making chocolate sorbet before! What a great idea!

Pretty ice cream dish, the sorbet looks great! I almost wish I’d doubled the recipe, it’s so yummy.
