It isn’t often we do sweet treats for Wednesday with Donna Hay. Every once in a while I think we need a sweet so this week since it was my pick I chose a sweet.
These little cakes were quite tasty. Moist. Just a hint of honey in the cake and a hint of sweet in the whipped cream topping. I think I would a touch of honey to the whipped cream next time. The recipe is in Donna’s off the shelf on page 170.

It was nice baking for a change so thanks for picking this one. I thought the honey taste was too strong. It is interesting how different out take on this is.

Beautiful drizzle! I kind of liked the plain cream, especially since I ended up eating one or two cakes for breakfast! 🙂

I like the sound of this cake. The older I get, the simpler I like things, and this sounds like it has the essential ingredients, and not much more…

This was good. Try as I might I could not get my honey on the top to look like hers in the picture, but no matter as I am certain it affected the taste not at all! Great choice. Thanks for keeping us baking.
