CHOCOLATE!!!!
Nuff Said!!!
And thanks to Glennis of Can’t Believe We Ate Blog we {The bakers of Bake!} made some of the most delicious brownies EVAH!!
What you have here are Malgieri’s TRUFFLE BROWNIES.
These were so very delicious.
{Yes, Kayte!! at least Mark and Matt with like them!!}
The middle was fudgy and the outside was crispy chewy. In other words, the perfect browmie.
A full recipe does contain 2 sticks of butter and 2 cups of sugar along with 10 ounces of melted chocolate. Yes, they certainly earn their truffle description. A small one is all you need to fulfill your chocoalte cravings!!!
They were so good I used them in Tracey’s Milk chocolate Brownie Ice Cream. I took about 1/4 of the sheet of brownies and cut them into small cubes.
These were added to probably the best chocolate Ice Cream we have had in a long time.
Look at that chunk of chocolate. YUMMY!!!! I want to try it by itself, although without the brownie cubes…….
You can find the recipe on Tracey’s site. It’s from Lebovitz’s The Perfect Scoop.
So mosy over the Tracey’s site and get the recipe and then visit the BAKE! FaceBook Page for other goodies.
BTW I found the recipe for the Truffle Brownies on Serious Eats.

Chocolate-chocolate = favorite flavor! Send some over, please!! =) We loved these brownies, too. (Actually, I just made a second batch for a back-to-school lunch yesterday, and they were a huge hit!)

These were perhaps the best brownies I’ve ever tasted! They have the perfect consistency, and would please both fudge and cakelike brownies lovers.

Smart thinking to enjoy the brownies two different ways. They are on my list to try, for sure. And the ice cream too, but I like mine plain most of the time. Mix-ins distract me from the creaminess of good ice cream. Call me crazy!

[…] last week and lost my photos of this recipe, so I borrowed the picture above from my friend Margaret’s blog. The recipe for these brownies was fairly straightforward. It called for a lot of butter, brown […]

What a grand, epicurean idea to enjoy these fabulous brownies with chocolate ice-cream rather than the usual vanilla one! Love it! I used to make brownies every week, now I will have to try adding more chocolate, more butter and more sugar.. for over-the-top pleasure for a die-hard chocoholic.

OMW, you cut them up and put them in chocolate ice cream as well? That’s a lot of chocolate…guys here would love it, no doubt. Your photo of the brownies all stacked up like that is very lovely…no wonder Phyl borrowed it! Nice job. I’m hoping to make them tomorrow…a half batch is what I am thinking as Mark can probably eat that many over the course of a week for lunches…they last a week, right? I have no experience with things lasting as Matt/friends would always eat them before the question ever arose. Times are a changing.

Stop that!! I’m drooling over here!! ;P These brownies were really good though, weren’t they?? Fudgey and delicious and warm and melty… ok maybe that’s just me and my impatience of cutting one straight from the oven and tossing on some ice cream 🙂 I love that first photo, stack-o-brownies… what could be better?! (maybe brownies in ice cream? You win!!)

We made those truffle brownies here recently and Shane simply cannot stop talking about them! Every day he asks if we can make another batch 🙂
Glad you liked the ice cream! Was yours really soft? Wondering if it’s just a soft ice cream or if I did something wrong when I made it.
